I am a visiting student in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, supervised by Professor Hugh Markus.
I am interested in vascular cognitive impairment and late-life depression. I have conducted research on these fields for more than three years. With my observation in the clinical work and understanding of literatures, I find that neuroimaging is a very important and efficient way to investigate the neurological disorders.
Cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) is commonly observed on neuroimaging among elderly individuals and contributes to dementia, cognitive decline, mood disturbance and stroke. My research focus on the role of type 2 diabetes mellitus and its relationship with white matter integrity and functional connectivity in SVD.
