About Me
I am a Clinical Research Associate studying cerebral small vessel disease in the stroke research group, supervised by Professor Hugh Markus. I completed my undergraduate medical training at Newcastle University and my academic foundation training in West Midlands. I was working as a neurology senior house officer in the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery prior to joining the group in March 2023.
My main research project is to investigate the relationship between systemic inflammation and cerebral small vessel disease. More specifically, I am contributing to recruiting patients to INSVD study and collecting their imaging and immune phenotype data. In addition, I am also helping with other clinical studies such as DNA Lacunar 2 and CamSVD within the group.
