About me
I am a Clinical Research Associate and honorary Neurology registrar. My research interests lie in the progression of cerebral small vessel disease and the role of inflammation and blood-brain barrier permeability in its pathophysiology. My work will use Minocycline as an experimental probe to assess whether we can reduce inflammation and BBB permeability in patients with SVD. I will also be investigating whether markers of inflammation in the blood and cerebrospinal fluid can predict SVD progression. My work is funded by an Association of British Neurologists / Guarantors of Brain Clinical Research Training Fellowship.
My clinical interests include acute neurology and stroke medicine. Outside the hospital I enjoy spending time with my young family and cross country running.
