About Me
I joined the Stroke Research Group in January 2023 as a visiting researcher from Thailand, supervised by Professor Hugh Markus. I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, in 2022 and worked as a GP before I joined this group. I was awarded the Prince Mahidol Youth Award Programme (PMYAP) scholarship, which was given to medical students who are keen to learn new things in the medical field and want to contribute something to the Thai medical system.
I am interested in cerebrovascular diseases, especially cerebral small vessel disease. I am currently working on the UK Familial small vessel stroke study, mainly focusing on cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL), the most common monogenic small vessel disease. My research focuses on intracerebral haemorrhage in CADASIL, and I am also currently working on the follow-up data of CADASIL patients. In the future, I want to apply genetic knowledge to improve the healthcare system in Thailand through the concept of precision public health.
